Stock Axial Shocks Sticking

Hey there guys. A quick question for you more knowledgeable folks.

I have the factory axial shocks in my SCX10. A while ago I pulled them apart to clean, and ran them for a short while without more than a few drops of stock shock oil to keep the seals lubed. A few weeks ago I decided to refill both my SCX and Wraith shocks with fresh oil. I used some fresh Motul 30wt shock oil I had in a MTB shock. The Wraith shocks work great, but the SCX shocks don't. If I let the truck sit for more than a few minutes the shocks will stick; I have to rock the thing side-to-side a few good times completely to have working suspension again.

Thoughts? Is 30wt too heavy? Is RC shock oil specific, and this stuff is the issue?

RC's are not my forte, so please excuse any stupidity, lol.

This topic should be a sticky by now. Just use a few drops of the 30wt for lubrication. This is a common problem with axial shocks in general, from what I've read here and seen on my Honcho and a buddy's Ridgecrest. I even tried expensive Lucas Oil.
