Default New Dutch Dingo

Got myself a Dingo, first I build the body, its the most amount of work I think.
Not satisfied with the headlights, doesn't look real.
As I look at the drawings, the diffs are both lockt, there is no choiche to make them work??

I like the body color. I feel like doing my Honcho in the same color, haha

I'm not sure if you have any 4 wheeling background, but locked axles is really the only way to go with crawling. If they're not locked, then one tire will spin while the other stays still, thus, a loss of traction

No traction = no climbing

Yes, I understand, but with two diffs locked is it difficult to take corners I think.
On my CC01 I had the reardiff locked and the frontdiff working.
On the SCX10 you don't have this choice I understand.
We will see!
The color, satinblack, looks great, painted on the outside, after putting on the stickers I painted it with clear varnish semigloss.

I think a decreased turning radius is the sacrifice you have to make for traction. However, you can get Axial's overdrive gear set and this can help turning. It makes the wheels turn faster than the stock gearing. I haven't done it but you'll prob notice the turning improve a little, but nothing like a night-and-day difference (I run stock gears, so just guessing on how it'd perform)(I do run overdrive gears in my Losi Nightcrawler and don't notice any increased turning)

I actually run overdrive gears in front and underdrive gears in rear causes almost a dig allusion but works really well . I would recomend doing the overdrive in front and getting universals for the front axle with high clearence knuckles. It makes a world of difference.

Tonight I installed the esc (FXR) en the 80t motor.
It runs wel, little noisy in the diffs (??)
The esc wil after forward not direct backwards, you have to waith a moment, I had to figger this out.

The body wil be attached with magnets at the front and the stock mounts on the back.

I didn't like the light stickers, so I made my own grill and bezels. Styrene is very easy to work with.

Electronicabox, from HEMA
Tekin FXR and 80 turns Truckpuller II, 7 cell NiCd
Front bodymount is using strong magnets, so you don't need holes in de body.

And here with the Tamiya Hummer, witch is my runner car that goes trough snow and mud. (the scx is for dry, nice and sunny weather and for building, and just for looking at it)
Great model with the hardbody and undepended suspension with traildoctors, is goes to fast, for this car I ordered a GRU from RC4WD. It is on its way...
