Default Scx shocks

Hi guys, I'm finishing my scx10 and I got the shocks kit last weekend , the Axial SCX10 61-90mm aluminum shock set and I noticed that the shocks aren't working at 100% length, maybe 75% because they are stopped by the bars and stuff at the chassis when the axle goes up especially when both sides are compressed , I'm a crawler guy so I guess I'm just doing something wrong because this doesn't feel right this way, any suggestions? Thanks in advance

That's normal for a lot of SCX10 setups, depending on link length. You can try and move some of the cross members to give you the clearance, but I'd say with those gigantic tires, you're not likely to gain anything.

Did you mount the spacer behind the top mount on the shock hoop?

Both shocks fully compressed (full bump) is not very important. Rarely will you bottom the shocks out in that manner. Most commonly you will just be compressing one side (articulating).

Thanks for the help, I guess I over reacted, as told I don't need more travelling because of the tires so I guess it's okay, thank you

I bought a used scx10, and I also noticed when at full compression, the steering link that connects the servo to the knuckle hits the frame rail before the shock bottoms out. It's also a lot more noticeable at full lock to the left and full articulation to the left front. The shock has about 1/4" of shaft left to travel, but the linkage and frame stop that from happening
