Default C Hubs AX30495 installation

In the mail arrived C Hubs AX30495 and Alu Knuckel AX30496.
But installing them using the pin screw in the original hole in the axle make the C Hub sitting strange.
It will either point upwards or downwards? Maybe it’s’ supposed to do that or?
The manual showing they should sit straight as the stock plastic ones?
On the pic here they are installed so they the point downwards – but it does not seem right.
Making them point upwards makes trouble for the steering link.
Anyone installed this merry hopup?

Looks like you need to switch them side to side.

Is there really any difference?
I see the stock plastic hubs are different.

You are using part number ax30495 so no, there is no difference. Just be sure to have the inner c's tipped back and you'll be fine. I have those c's on one of my rigs and they are fine.

Follow the exact photo on the instruction. Make sure your axle is oriented properly. You will get it. I had the same issue before.

The picture I attached is from the Dingo kit manual.
The stock C hub AX80012 have its mounting holes for the screws in the center.
The upgradeAX30495 have each 2 holes in each side – so they will be located different from the stock one. Will either point up or down.

Am I missing something?

You want the screw in the front of the housing in the lower hole of the c hub and the rear screw in the upper.

Just googled a bit

So below pic must be WRONG installation as the arms are pointing downwards - and the upper hole is used right?

You're in luck, here's a pic of my rig that had the same knuckles on it this summer. The steering is behind the axle but you can clearly see the stainless screws are in the lower holes and the uppers are visibly empty.

They don't have to be parallel with the ground, tipped back is fine. Some even rotate them back even more purposely. I think I've got about 20* on mine.

AX10 Scorpion Aluminum Axle Parts.

• Replaces the stock plastic C-hubs and steering knuckles for increased strength and more responsive steering
• Aluminum C-hubs are set at an increased castor angle to improve driveshaft angle while maintaining proper castor angle
• Aluminum C-hub is designed with a lower profile to allow the maximum steering angle using stock steering knuckles (when used in conjunction with AX30464 Axial Universal joints)
• Anodized black with laser etched Axial logos
