I ran it for a while. It's got good speed and pretty decent crawling torque. I jumped up to a 21.5 brushless. If you can afford it its very nice.

I think it's a great throw away motor. I use them because I don't maintain my motors and run them in the slop. Cheap, plentiful and can handle 4s no problem.

Any problems running the 21t in the fxr on 3s. They say 35t+ to run 3s but I've seen people using 21-27t. I have fxr's and traxxas 21t in both mine so I'm curious about 3s now.

when I ran mine in my old wraith, i ran 3s with no problems. only issue i had was a rock got into the vent area and took out the brushes. so I'd find something that can cover that area but still alow air to breathe. keep an eye on temps aswell.

None, it is sealed in a 2x2x1" project box with RX, ESC and CCBEC, geared 13/56 on my WRAITH, therefore SCX should be no problem:

I will tell you this though, if your looking for great wheel speed and awesome low end... ditch the brushed setup.. I spent a good 500$ over the last year before I decided to pull the trigger on my pro4 3300kv mmp setup.. I will never look back. great low end smooth as butter, and amazing top end. More than I can controll on 3s. I'm running 14-56t 32p gearing and am thinking of going to a 12t pinion to slow it down a little lol.

Just some food for thought, not everyone can buy this setup. Lord knows it took me a couple months to come up with the money.

I agree sensored brushless is hard to beat. I love my novak setup so much in my wraith I put it in my honcho and my second scx10. Best rc money spent so far. When you add up the cost of a handful of cheap brushed motors brushless looks more and more appealing.
