Thanks!! That's my '99 Cherokee in the last picture, so I figured that the Jeep was a good choice for a first build. Lol like I said...Everything my 1:1 isn't. One of these days I'll get the 1:1 Cherokee caught up with the SCX10...

Are your 1:1's Trail ready?

Slowly replacing all of the stock screws, lock nuts, washers & pins with stainless steel. Stronger and it looks good I think.

Starting to waterproof some of the electronics. Got a $4 project box at Radio Shack, two-sided tape, and some premium waterproof Silicone.

IMG_0311 by muddywilly420, on Flickr

Drilled some holes - front and back.

Taping in the electronics. Box will be completely sealed. Debated putting balloons over the electronics, but i think if I seal the box up 100% it should survive. SILICONE. The box stands up pretty high too, so that will provide some additional protection I hope.

Applied silicone to the box seal and sealed. Will apply another layer to seal once initial layer has cured.

I really like your build, looks pretty similar to mine

Mine is a little closer to my real Cherokee tho;

I'll actually be repainting my 1:1 to match my 1:10 in the next few weeks. keep up the good work!

Weight distribution is quite good like this!

IMG_0344 by muddywilly420, on Flickr

Can't wait to test it this weekend! Still need to use grease to waterproof the servo and other moving parts before I actually take it into the mud/water.

Cut alternating lugs off the outside edge of all four tires. We'll see what happens.

Randomly painting the metal skid plate on the front bumper to match the Cherokee paint job. Getting a winch soon and not sure I'm going to be using it much longer. Just gonna paint it up, get some pretty pictures then scape the sh*t out of it the first time I take it out! ;p I think it'll look good a little beat up.
