Question SCX10 Honcho Vanquish upgrade question

Hi all,

I'm new to scale/crawling and was wondering if someone could assist me a bit with this.

I've been looking online a lot but couldn't find exactly what I'm after. Basically, I'd like to upgrade my whole driveline and steering and I do have a rough idea what I need but I'm not entirely sure which parts I need exactly and I really don't want to order something and then realise that I forgot to order something so I have to wait some more. I hope you understand.

So, RC car is SCX-10 Honcho. So far everything on it is stock. Here is what I think I need, please add/subtract something I got wrong or missing please:

I'd like to get these axle housings for front and rear, but VP seems to have this one only:

Unless front/rear are the same? Are they?

Apart from axle housing I think I also need:

- Axial scx10 chubs 8 degree
- Axial SCX-10 universal cvd , honcho, VVD Heavy Duty Axle Shafts
- Axial SCX10 8 degree knuckles
- Axial SCX10 Axle Lockouts for AX10, Honcho
- TITANIUM LINKS ??? (do I need Vanquish links? plan to run 4-link setup)
- RC Gear Grease

Is this all I need? Any suggestions?

Since Vanquish doesn't have drive shafts for SCX Honcho, would above setup run OK with stock drive shafts or Punisher drive shaft. I imagine this would run fine with Vanquish parts above?

Many thanks peeps
Any input greatly appreciated
Sincere apologies for extensive writing.

The axle housing works for both front and rear axles so you will need 2 of them. As for the other parts I will make you a list.
Axial AX10 stage 1 kit this is a set and it will save you money. it includes knuckles C-hubs and Lockouts X1

Vanquish AX-10 Shock Link Mounts this is for lower links and shocks X2

Vanquish AX-10 Axle Servo Mount servo mount you will not need this if you are running a chassis mounted servo X1

Vanquish AX-10 Axle Truss truss/ upper link mount (4-link) X2

you will need 2 diff covers, and there are two styles Vanquish AX-10 Axle Truss and Axial Wraith Differential cover diff

Axial Wraith Bearing Caps Ridgecrest holds the locker's bearings in

Currie/SCX Titanium tie rod / drag link Tie-rod and drag link this will fit with the VP Knuckles.
if you have any question PM me.

Holy cow your Honcho looks sweet!

First off - THANK YOU!

Just one question please:

Do I need Vanquish titanium links too:
?

Many thanks mate, I appreciate it.
Also, if you have a link with more pics of your Honcho, pls send, I'd love to see it as it's very hard to find pics with Honcho Vanquish driveline setup.

Cheers mate

Stay a way from the punisher drive line, they are horrible. For drive line right now I would go with MIP for the scx-10.

The axle housing you're looking at is the same for the front and the rear.

Another example of the axles you're interested in. I did something a little different up front though, I'm running a CMS (chassis mounted servo) rather than the servo on axle. Good Luck on you build.

Thanks, the Honcho has been to many different G6. I am running a modified Hands Brother cms kit originally for the stock plastic scx-10 axles.

Originally, I wanted to get all blacked-out axles but I just see them getting scratched-up too fast. Your setup looks cool (raw aluminum axle housings), does it continue looking good after a lot of wear? The only thing really holding me back from getting black axle housings is the raw aluminum showing when it gets scratched. So should I get black axle housings or raw ones?
