It s going to be hard to have a good brushless combo for cheap because it s better to have a sensored system.
Maybe this one http://www.hobbypartz.com/215tsensored.html.
Otherwise a castle SV3 who s waterproof and integy 35 turns with 3S.
I m not a specialist but it s my 2 cents.....
For 160$ you have holmes hobbies combo special scaler and in that case you have top noches

Yes and brushless is unnecessary, run stock esc with 45T or 35T motor on 2s or 3s and you'll be good.

ya would u just clean with motor spray? I put a little oil on my stock axial motor to keep the bushings from getting to dry but it burns up in the motor and starts smoking sometimes

i have used this

CRC 05101 QD Electronic Cleaner - 4.5 Wt Oz. : Amazon.com : Automotive

DON'T get the motor cleaner that crc sells it melts plastic , the qd works the same as motor spray its about the same price for twice as much and you should be able to find it at any auto parts store

Natedog- why 3s lipo? I'm about to get the fxr/ 35t pro wind as an upgrade to my scx10. My LHS says to go with 2s so that i don't tear up stuff as fast. True? They also say i won't need a BEC if I go 2s. Yes- I've read the "you need a BEC" thread- funny.

Sorry to hijack but I thought the original poster might have these q's also. Thanks.

I am getting a fxr pro this week and I will be running a bec not only for more power to my servo but in future will be running 3s packs. And my buddy says a 35t motor runs a lot better on 3s then 2s and my wraith has a 35t and seems alittle weak on 2s. But those r good ?s I shoulda asked
