Default New to crawling

Hey all. I have been wanting a crawler for some time now. I saw the new Axial Jeep and that made me want one even more.

I haven't been able to find them in stock anywhere though. I see a slightly used one with 5 runs on it on a forum. The guys is asking $315 shipped. It comes with a few Proline scale accessories. My local shop also has a slightly used Honcho. It comes with aluminum c hubs, knuckles, yokes and bottom links. They are asking $325 for it.

I really like the Jeep but the Honcho has some nice upgrades. Since they are the same chassis, should I go with the upgraded Honcho and just buy the Jeep body when it becomes available?

Please help me decide!

If you have a LHS with guys you can "trust" than I would go with them as opposed to buying somwthing used from someone you will probably never see again. It also doesnt hurt that the Honcho has some solid upgrades already. The only differences are the bumpers, body, and tires between the 2 rigs anyway

I went with the slightly used SCX10 Jeep. Even though the Honcho had some upgrades, I will just upgrade the Jeep as I go. I am new to crawlers, so I would prefer to upgrade my own truck and learn how to work on it.

I have been looking through some threads but I am wondering what are some nice upgrades that I should look into getting first?
