Thanks for the links.

I didn't expect a brushed motor to be that much! How will the 35t perform?

Would you recommend upgrading to a brushless setup? If so, what kv would I be looking for?

you're headed down an expensive highway. If you get a brushless set-up you will need a sensored one and that will come with a new ESC as well. I personally wouldn't do that...and if you did I'd keep the KV low so it doesn't tear up anything else in your truck.

There are cheaper motors you can buy. When I first started I bought a pair of Integy motors for $20 apiece for my XR10. That was two years ago and they are still going strong...but I've serviced them regularly. Typically you get what you pay for....especially in this hobby

Thanks for the info.

I will run the stock setup for awhile, I just want to get ideas and info now.

I've been looking around and I have seen lift kits. Is that a good upgrade? It mentions it is needed for running 2.2" tires. Can you use a lift kit with stock tires/rims? Will a lift kit make the truck perform better?

dont run a lift kit...it will ruin the look of your truck imo

A lift kit will also put you COG (center of gravity)higher making it top heavy
Aren't those 1.9s on there now ? If you want a bigger tire and wheel try an IROK by RC4wd...it's pretty tall and you won't have to buy a set of 2.2 wheels.

Your best bet is to make a list of things you want to do to the truck, especially if you're on a budget... do some searching in this forum...there's a ton of info on 99% of your questions.
