| Which motor should I go with
So I plan on getting the new jeep kit soon but I'm not sure which motor to put I it I currently have the axial ae2 esc with the drag and the axial 27T that I will be taking out of my cc-01 to put in the jeep but I was thinking about getting an axial 55 t to put in the new axial jeep instead of just using the pretty much new 27 t so let me no what u guys think

The 55t will probably be too slow. It has lots of torque but not much speed. I would go with the 27t. I run a 35t in my Honcho and wouldn't want to run a slower motor.

i run the 55T with 18/87 gearing on 3s. Tons of creepability and plenty of wheel speed. It really depends on your intended use. After 1.5 hours or so my 1320mAh 3s packs are only down to 11.4 volts or so, so that gives you an idea of how little throttle I use. If I were to get more into the point A to point B trail driving I'd probably opt for a 35T on 3s, but I mainly just creep around in one obstacle rich area at a time. If you stick with the AE-2 ESC and 2s I'd give the 27T a shot. I definitely wouldn't run the 55T on 2s unless it were just for small obstacle courses.

I use a 35t Tekin with a Tekin FXR on 3s. 19/87 Gearing Enough torque and speed On a 4000mAh pack I can drive for 2-3,5 hrs |

i use the axial 20t. it has great wheel speed for running through the mud and snow, and with a 14t pinion it still has gobs of smooth crawling torque. run time is about an hour on a 5k mah 2s.

Right now I have a 3300 mah and a 4200 ncmh and I was think about getting A 5000 mah also but I looked up the tekin 35t and 60 bucks any cheaper but still good 35t motors but I was considering going lipo but I'm not sure I mostly trailing in the woods or I got to sand pits and I love crawling over things but my cc-01 is a good trail rig but that's y I was thinking I might want to go with a 55 t when i get my axial so even if I'm trail I see something and then I can a crawl over it

| Re: Which motor should I go with Honestly I wouldn't go with a 55t. My opinion that's way too slow. For purely crawling I guess that could be acceptable but if you want any type of wheel speed the slowest you should consider is a 45t. Most common is a 35t which is also what I currently run. a holmes hobbies 35t torque master. You can go with a cheaper 35t like a integy. They are decent. I've ran a 55t when I first got my scx10 and didn't like it at all. All in all it's completely up to you and what you want but really a 55t is pretty slow.

From what I've seen, yes, but that's about it if you are running 6 cell NiMh packs. It should crawl real nice though. I wouldn't be making the choice purely based on top speed, but instead on the wheel speed you need for whatever wheeling you get in to. Having more than enough is always better than being left in the dust. |

I love my rtr jk on 3s. Ae2 and 27t stock gearing on 3s is fast and has great low end and very simple to do. |

| Re: Which motor should I go with The rtr tx is fine but only has 2 channels. If you only need 2 channels there isn't really a reason to upgrade. I like to have a few extras lying around for my buddies to borrow one of my trucks.
