That's a large question.......Just use the search button, "Flex", 'Droop", "Shocks", ect... Welcome to the habit....

Here's my sons Dingo-bodied SCX with 2.2's. It's very flexy. No flares, Stock-shocks, Bump-stops gone (little rubber things at the bottom of the springs) Body comp-cut a little to reduce rubbing, weighted wheels.

More articulation is not neccisarily a good thing. I recommend reading this:
Articulation: Pro’s and Con’s

A set of longer shocks worked pretty good for me. I run a set of 4" Losi crawler shocks on my SCX-10, but im sure any 4" shock will work.

Good point. This comment is what I set-up by- even maybe just a little shy......

" I personally build my comp crawlers to flex the height of the tire I’m running". Not a beer-can...........

Thank u, im fetting it now...so i should be fine for now...I saw some pic of crawlers that could have the front axle at almost a 12 to 6 postion and thought thats what i needed...but i just want alittle more than factory...i removed the shock limiters and that helped. wont raising it bind the drive shafts?

Can i add a 4 link setup? and if so, would it be worth it or do the stock links work good enough?

4 link is the way to go. Did your Dingo come with the 4 link truss? I know the old kits did. Most 4 link the rear and run a cms (chassis mounted servo) with panhard bar in the front. I've always run 4 link on both ends.
You may need to make new upper links if you switch it up. Threaded rod, Traxxas Revo/Jato rod ends and aluminium sleeves work great for upper. I sleeve lowers with stainless steel

4 link set up and get a set of gmade shocks, these gave me 30mm more articulation when lifting one wheel until a second lifted after. They are very fluid too and not expensive, oh and look goooood

i just removed the bumpstops, weighted the wheels and added more weight to the rig. personally i think it's enough as otherwise it looks a bit... odd? It can flex about the height of the tyre and a half or a d90 body resting on a table sorry for bad measurments lol but you get the idea

I get what u mean..lol...and i guess it does flex enough...im not looking for a comp crawler just to have fun and have it look cool...

a bit more than stock is only really necessary I found other wise it can bind :( I have about the same, maybe a bit more, than ridepate and am very satisfied If you do want more I would advise longer shocks but keep them soft

You can get more articulation by getting the gmade g transitions (super butter smooth) and doing the stampede drive shaft mod hey seem to give alot more flex with out binding compared to the new wild bore cvds that came with my (newest released) dingo. I did a stress test and stampede drive shafts gave way more angle.

Just some food for thought.

I'd like to add shocks but I'm new and confused - which ones would provide good fit and better performance?

Thanks

I had removed the bump stops on the stock shocks, I have 3oz if weight in each wheel (including the spare), 4.5oz of weight on the rear-cross member, All electronics are located up front, Shocks are filled up 90% of the way from full.

BTW the wheel weights I used are stick on weights for 1:1 cars and trucks

An angled shock has more travel than a vertical shock.

If you can move or modify the shock towers so the shocks are angled a little, you'll get more flex. Even just a few degrees of angle can add a significant travel. Angling the shocks will effect the spring rate and oil also. The more you angles them, the "softer" they'll feel. So, you may have to adjust that accordingly.

I switched to 4 link because my driveshaft would rub on the 3 link limiting the articulation. Now I can fully compress the shock (without the bump stops) and not bind

Go to Axial's web site and search for the instructions page. Then download the link set kit instructions for the dingo (11.4") and you will see how the four link is setup/configured. As you have the kit you can just buy those upper link parts as mentioned in those instructions instead of buying the complete link set.

Hope that helps.

ive got longer shocks with springs shorter than the shocks max height so it sits low and when it flexes the shock drops down, giving me a lower center of gravity but still flexes plenty also the shock housing is taller than most so when it tucks my tires dont rub too bad
