Default topkick on a axial scx10

Hey ,all I'm new here on this site and can't wait to chat about the hobby of scale RC. I have a scx10 honcho on the way and my plans are to put a
top kick body on it and keep it fairly stock for now. Any advice as to mounting the body,or mods. to the steering would be a big help thanks!

First should be to get rid of the plastic tie rod and drag link, then a better steering servo, then some aluminum, stainless or titanium links. Swap over to the four link first thing, those parts are included in the kit. IMO those are the must do things. The truck is really solid in stock form. It probably won't stay that way for long! Welcome to the addiction!

The TopKick body is going to be a little long for the scx10. Streach the wheel base with longer links or do a custom bed.

I'm pretty sure the honcho wheelbase is just about perfect for the topkick body.

This is how I did mine.
Simply build two shelves and use velcro

Truck looks great^ What links are you using since the body is longer if you don't mind?

No. There're two versions of Topkick body, if you check out Proline's website. The one with shorter wheelbase (12"4) is almost the exact fit onto the SCX10 body.

If you zoom in on the back wheel you'll notice the two bolts going through the holes of the wheel.
