| Range Rover Evoque - Mountain Rescue
Well, since I don't have buckets of money like it seems everyone else on here does (or seems to, some of the builds are worth more than my 1:1 land rover!), most of my mods are home made and on the cheap. I enjoy doing unique and different bodies, and coming up with body creations that no one else has done. My first Tough truck was the Porsche Cayenne TT, so following in the expensive crawler tradition, I decided to do up an Evoque. As soon as I can find some Krylon in orange, I'll be doing a G4 Evoque, but for now, here's the "England and Wales Mountain Rescue" Evoque. The siren lights and the light bar are functional, they strobe blue. Let me know what you think! Last edited by Arctic Fire; 02-01-2013 at 02:14 PM. |

haha. Well, The first aid kit is a fuse box, the sentry extinguisher is a AA battery, jumper cable wires, SwageLock water cooler. Home made links with brake line and all-thread, relocated battery tray, moved the radio box and mounted an under-mount spare tire. Front bumper is a cut down honcho with a winch and a traxxas stampede bumper fairlead.

That's pretty slick. Love the little scale accessories. It looks shortened quite a bit and fits the stock sliders nicely, what's the wheelbase? And did you have to mess with the shock setup some to get it to sit that low, or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

Wheelbase is 10.5", so it is a little short. It still performs really well for the kind of trail driving I do, It loves bumping over logs and roots becasue it's so short. The suspension is stock, but I did put the bumpstops in when building to limit the up-travel a little. The wheel wells are cut out enough that it still articulates fully to the stops. I love the fuse-box first aid kit, just cut up little band aides and gauze. Double A battery extinguisher Last edited by Arctic Fire; 02-01-2013 at 01:44 PM. |

Looks great! Is the bungee netting self made or did you buy it off of somewhere? Looking for something just like it.

the webbing was a random find in a toddler's play box. I have no idea where it came from, but it's great. it's stretchy rubber and it's almost like it was made for the pro-line long roof rack. I just screwed in some screws half way and the webbing stretches right over. I wish I had more of them!

Where did you find these body's? I am going to have to look up your Porsche build. The rover is better looking in real life than the Porsche I believe.
