Default VP Currie axles or GCM Metalhead axles for scx10

Hi guys, i did a search but couldn't find a thread about this..

I'm wanting to get some new axles for my Honcho. I'm tossing up between the VP Currie axles or the GCM metalhead axles!
I know it's mostly a personal thing but i'm interested to see what most people would go for and why?
Has anyone been lucky enough to use or see both in person to compare?
Hope this can be an interesting discussion!
Cheers from Australia...

LOL. I was just wondering about this 5 minutes ago. Like I had just finished looking at the GCM site and reading the review on RCCA about the metal head axles... I'd like to know as well!

I'm glad i'm not the only one..
I've been trying to decide for weeks!

Metalhead scx10 axles are out of stock at the moment but hopefully this month they will be ready to take orders!

those look pretty good. are they cheeper than the currie's? if so i might grab a pair when they release them in aluminum.

I believe the new GCM axles are wraith width, though I'm sure you could ask them to make the tubes scx10 width. Both look sweet, granted the Curries are way more scale in terms of looks/machining. But the GCMs sure are beefy, I'd doubt you'd have any issues with them.

GCM make wraith axles and scx10 axles. They are only taking orders for the wraith axles at the moment but GCM told me they may be ready to take orders for the scx10 units this month, apparently they are making them more scale also.
Things i like about the GCM axles is you can use standard links or axial aluminium links if you have them already, or your home made ones.. VP currie axles need you to purchase their links, more money! Also i'm pretty sure a hand brothers CMS and panhard can be used on the GCM's which is good if you already have it, VP is working on a CMS and panard kit which is ok if you don't have the Hand brothers.
The GCM axles are set up like standard axials for easy of transplant just alot Tricker axle. So for price it depends if if have a HB kit and links already or your out to buy all these things to go with the VP curries. Neither way is cheap..
But im only learning and was hoping and thought someone with alot more knowledge would be able to chip in!!!

Im using the new rock jock currie wraith axles on my scx10 with handbrothers cms kit and vanquish panhard and everything works great. The standard links will fit with a little modification so don't buy new links unless you have to. Because im using a panhard on the front I removed one of the upper links so its more of a 3 link set up and this made it even easier to fit the standard links. Im ising alloy links with rc4wd steely heim joint ends

My favorite axles that kind of go together with the honcho are the VP AX/SCX 10 axles. Here is mine
