Default Vanquish Stage 1 kit???

Can anybody point me in the right direction? Trying to install stage 1 kit on SCX10 and I'm guessing there is an issue with rod lengths and also tires rubbing. Whats the solution? Any help would be great.

Thanks

Yes, I'm running into the same problem too but couldnt find any threads that helped. I've got them installed on the stock axles and trying to use stock axial 1.9 8 hole beadlocks with 1.9 rok lox and the rubbing is pretty bad. is there any way to use the 8* knuckles and chubs without having to buy vanquish wheels + vanquish hubs?

thanks in advance! and thanks scottyp for posting

I spoke to a customer today and believe some are using these in the link below. Take some pictures if you could so we can see how far you need to go for clearance.

these say 2.2., will these fit the 1.9 wheels? or are there 1.9's of these? if they work then I might need to try them, looking for a solution soon before Axial's G6 this Sat, if not i'll have to revert back to the stock knuckles and hubs

Looks like you may be able to get by with a pair of traxxas plastic hexes. I had a similar issue and the additional 4mm or so I gained from them did the trick.

Those junfac wideners will certainly work no doubt. I only suggested the traxxas hexes because odds are your lhs will have them on the shelf so you would be ready for the event.

Part number is TRA3654

Awesome, W-T! Right on! good lookin out! and actually, I may still head to my lhs and pick up a set just in case I dont get the junfacs in time. Appreciate the feedback! Thanks for the info, buddy

I looked at the gmade extenders and they would add 1/2 inch per side! Thats too much IMO. Thanks for the part # WT. Does anybody make similar ones in aluminum?

Hey inebriated, what did you do about your tie rod and drag link length. I'm looking at the Currie tie rod and link kit(Part#6739) from vanquish. Rob at vanquish said they are the right length. Could you post a pic of your set up?

Thanks

im running 1.9 pit bulls with Axial 8 hole bead locks but had to use the mason jar trick to get the beadlocks to set evenly and deep on the wheels. i used Traxxas #3654 2.5x12mm Tall Offset. They are plastic and will work till i find a aluminum substitute. I also mounted my drag link and tie rod on the bottom inner hole of the Vanquish arm and not the top like shown above. I used a extra ball with no end to space the side that does not have both links. Im getting full steering in both directions my rear tire comes close to the shocks when turning in full direction. and i now have space between my tire and arms

What I did to make them work were was use the Slash 2wd front aluminum hex from Hot Racing (I can look up part number if needed - they are much better than stock because the clamp over the shaft rather than a set screw into the shaft). Like everyone else said use the Currie axle bent link for the toe link.

This got me curious as I hadn't seen this type of hub before (clamping). Here's another clamping wide aluminum hex hub in stock at RPP: Pro Line PRO-2 Front Clamping Hex for Slash 2WD

same Idea although the HR are a little cheaper.

Yup, it was just something I noticed. I was browsing RPP when I read your post so I happened to check what they had. I caved and ordered 2 pair along with an assortment of 2.75" Losi springs I need for rear susp. tuning. I don't even need the clearance, but I figure the slight increase in track width might be cool . I figure they should add maybe ~1/4" overall? Not too sure, but they are nice hubs either way.

hey scotty, for now im just going to use a few spacers that came with the axial aluminum links kit on both ends of the front link, i can post a pic of my set up later tonight. Thinking of getting the currie bent tie rod link kit at some point, though, can anyone confirm that the currie links still work with the stock axles? (don't have the budget for currie axles)

Hey nissan, are these the Hot Racing hex hubs you're using (SCP1006) ? If they get the clearance I need with the stock axial 8 hole 1.9's, I'd rather try to find them at somepoint, because yea, like scottyp said above, the offset of junfacs may look to be bit too much once i get them on there, also, they're way cheaper. Hope it won't be too much trouble to return them to RPP, wish I knew of the HRs ahead of time before buying the gmade ones in hope to get a solution before this sat.

thanks everyone!

I have the Axial 8-holes too. Does anyone know if the stock hub cap covers can still be screwed on with the wider hex hubs?
