| Torque Twist Problems
I have the 4 link front and rear with all stock running gear. On top of that, I am running a heavier body (RC4WD Hilux) with a brass rack and some scale goodies that add a significant amount of weight. I was wondering your guys' resolution to this problem in our trucks?

Many flip/mirror the transmission to help, but you will never completely resolve this natural occurance of physics. Do a search, there are some threads that spell it out clearly if you'd like to try it for yourself. I think the only real con of mirroring is that if your SCX10 has the spur/pinion cover, it will have to come off.

usually it lifts the front right tire and if your shocks are adjustable then stiffen up the left rear shock this helps a bit.. if your shocks arent adjustable then find some stiffer springs and toss one in... your never going to get rid of it totally but it helps some...

If your ready for a brain ache, read into squat and anti squat. I played around with upper link height at the rear diff and it made a big difference. I coildnt tell you if I had squat.. Haha ... But whatever I did, it made the rear squat less which seemed to hold the front more planted. Just have to watch link clearance issues. I was running taller shocks so I had more room to shim the link attachment point. Sent from my highly abused iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think Ill start by changing the weight of the oil in the shocks and stiffen up the compression. Hopefully that will solve this issue because at times it will rub on the left rear tire under load or when turning right at times. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Running under drive (43T/13T) in the rear diff and stock (38T/13T) in the front diff will help reduce the torque twist. See info in this thread on the optional gear sets Optional Ratio Gear Sets |
