It's almost the same thing as the Honcho minus the new tires and the new body. Performs the same as well.

As far as stock, it performs pretty good but you can make it better by adding weights in your tires and battery placement

The SCX 10 is designed to be a crawler. When you start going fast with the SCX10 you will need to upgrade the front axle with aluminum c-hubs, steering knuckles, steering link and probably universal joint axles.

So I have the wraith and all the weight is in the back and it sounds like this is the same issue with the scx10. And as the two speed part thays not for going fast its for running from trial to trail faster

I d just go with the stock rtr and then upgrade with time passing in the field. I can recommend you to change it from the 3-link front to a 4-link setup.you even get the parts with your RTR except for the screws.

What size screws are needed? I'm getting a Rubicon as well and I would like to convert it to 4 link.

you need a M3x30mm cap head or button head with matching M3 lock nut to mount the links to the truss, and then two M3x8 self tapping cap or button heads to screw the truss into the top of the axle.

i found mine worked pretty well right outta the box. BUT... i did make a few adjustments. i removed the swingout tire carrier, lowered the body posts 3 notches i think and flipped the tires around. those few things made a difference on my home turf i run on lol

If you want to buy a nice setup, here is a Link for Jevne Racing Plate

If you want to DIY you are going to need to get creative including doing more research... info is already out there

I got lazy and went with the Jevne plate myself... very nicely made, close to perfect design for my need's.
