| Issues with my first scx10
I bought the new jk unlimited rtr threw a od gear in the front axle and a rc4wd two speed tranny everything elde is stock. Now low speed works awesome but high speed is acting funny it starts slow and gradually picks up speed. And when tires wedged it loses all power and if I double tap itll get a burst from the battery and die again. Also has kind of a clicking sound which sound like its coming from the front axle but might be from tranny. I took front axle apart twice and seems to be fine but haven't cracked open the two speed yet to check for grease or anything. But whats got me confused the most is when in low gear I have a ton of power but almost no power in high gear

What the 2 speed does, is changes the gearing. So it makes sense to why it has less torque in second gear.

My guess is that the gearing is too much in 2nd for the stock motor. Go to a smaller pinion or bigger spur. Better yet, dump the stock throwaway motor and get something with a little more balls .

Sounds like the odin the front might have too much bind for 2nd gear

Pull the driveshafts off both axles and spin each one by hand to find the clicking noise. If it's in one of the axles it may just be a piece of crud stuck in the teeth.

| Ended up swapping out the od gear and put the stock back in and pack the shit outta it with grease and the clicking is gone and both speeds r working now didn't test it on rocks but has better take off in high now. I checked the od gear and doesn't seem bent only thing is there was a bit of slop in the pinion but barely any so dont think its enough to cause binding
