Default honcho on 6s?

Hello,

So I got a torque master brxl and was wondering if anyone has tried running 6s?
If so can you post a video of it?

I have an old axial 55t that a wanna try pullin a sled with. Not scared to burn this motor up. Anyone have any experience with it and the longevity of motors.

Thanks

I've not tried it personally. I actually just ordered 4s batteries and am waiting for them to come in. If you aren't afraid to ruin the motor, give it hell. I don't know that you'll get that much wheelspeed with a 55T motor though. Even when pulling, I'd think you'd want a good bit of wheelspeed.

If I had to guess, you'll probably cook that motor pretty quick. I think most brushed motors don't want more than 3s. I believe most go to brushless when stepping up that high in voltage.

Please do us all a favor and get some video if you try this out, even if it only lasts 5 seconds.

I've ran 55t's on 6s before but not in a SCX. Comm wear increases pretty quick, but its not that bad that it causes instant meltdown. The thing is a good 13.5 brushless setup will be better in just about every way you can compare on 3s, while still having 4s on reserve.

I can tell you a Tekin 55t hand wound lasted a year on 6s in a LNC with lots of driving and zero maintence, a comm cut and brushes here and there would've helped extend that life a bunch.

Can your drivetrain handle it is the bigger question? Any plastic left? $$$$$ front shafts yet?

Haha yeah mips on the way and going to be getting rr gears. May put my dog bones in before I try. I still use the stock diffs. I may only try this for one or two pulls so hopefully nothing too serious breaks. I will try getting some video when I do attempt this though.
