Axle length for flipped RC4WD 2 speed... I've decided to add an RC4WD 2 Speed to my SCX10 JK, and installed it with the mount plate rotated 180deg (flipped) so the shift servo is to the rear. The front drivetrain, etc seem to mount up properly but the rear axle is too long. This is due to the increased width of the RC4WD 2 Speed over the stock tranny. I'm using the MIP part and am thinking of cutting it but wonder if there are other options. I suppose I could stretch the rear, using longer links. Or maybe there is another MIP part that works for this configuration? Recommendations? |
Re: Axle length for flipped RC4WD 2 speed... Do not try to shorten the driveshaft. There is not enough length in the female splines. I know, I did it to a brand new one. The MIP #9137 is supposed to work with the tranny. MIP C-Drive Dig Spline Kit (1) (Rear) |
