found this picture somewhere from this site.. did this with a 4 1/2in angle grinder.. used a file to make it all even. used a dremel to give the inside of the axles more angle..
got a lot more steering.. however i did this to 3 axles now. all 3 broke.. not even close to a full pack.. my truck has a 35 turn motor 2.2 tsls rest is stock.. any ideas?? thanks

You can only gain a little that way or the cup binds at full throw and causes the breakage.

The Axial CVD's listed above are slightly stronger than toothpicks.

The XR mod, Vanquish VVD's or Super 300's are the options to gain steering and strength.

You see in the photo how the pin is almost popped out of the cup? If you grind to far (which 99% sure you have) that pin pops out when you turn. At that point one of two things has to happen. Either A: the C rips loose and pops off or B: the dogbone breaks.

You can try to turn down your EPA's to keep the pin from popping out, chances are turned under a bind it'll still pop out.
