| scx-10 help plz
Im new to this posting stuff on forums. So here goes my first shot at it. I have had my scx10 for almost a year now and i need some help with it tipping over. I just puit a proline jeep cherokee body on it and it also has a stereo in it and is also it is lifted a little. I would like to keep it lifted but i need to keep the tire on the ground. I have axial 8 hole beadlocks with proline flat irons. I was also wondering about how the rc4wd irocks do for a trail truck that also goes on the rocks some. Im looking at getting the 1.9s. Any comments are welcome.

The IROK's are good tires. As far as tipping, have you relocated your battery? The lift kit is not going to help. You can add wheel weights like these: K L Motorcycle Wheel Weights 25 1 4 oz Package of 36 1 4 oz Weights | eBay Basically, you need to lower as much weight as you can. |

Picture will help. Do you get tipping over problem because of lift and rised center of gravity? If so, as in prew post weight in wheels and lowering battery mount should help. And maybe you can do something with shocks. Softer or shorter springs will lower your SCX10 and give you more down travel to keep tires on the ground. Last edited by nersik; 03-14-2013 at 10:32 AM. post a pic if you can... sounds like your COG (center of gravity) is too high...where is the stereo ? having a lifted rig doesn't help keep it on the ground try weighting your wheels |

i would try what the guys above have said about adding weight to the wheels you could also try running the shocks with no oil and soft springs thats what i have in mine and its lifted a wee bit so i can run 2.2`s with the body i have which is roughly the same as you have and run the battery over the front wheels it will help. oh and try the wheels with no foams so you can grip abit better. this is mine with a homemade lift kit running 2.2`s Last edited by boohoo; 03-14-2013 at 11:06 AM. |

like others said, try lowering the COG as much as possible. there are many ways to lower the COG. if it's stock electronics setup, try lowering the battery by cutting down the risers that hold the plate so high. some people flip their shocks over, so the reservoir is on the bottom (swapping out the faux piggy-backs for regular shock caps will reduce a couple grams of weight -every little bit helps). adding weight to the wheels as well as weight inside the axles (beef tubes, solid lockers, etc) can help get weight down low as well. mount your body as low as possible. why and how is it lifted? i would try to address this first if it were my rig. |

I lifted it to make it so I didn't have to cut the body much. I like the look of lifted trucks that you see on the road so that is what Im going for. It's just lifted with a spacer that goes from the shock hoop the into the shock. I will try to get some pics up later tonight.

240 X 180 is a bit too small to see any details (did you upload thumbs ) Anyway the battery is very high. I guess it is stock position in Honcho. Try relocate it as on the picture above. |

First off The stereo & lift kit are killing you, they both need to go, grab some headphones, as cool as it is, its not a RC boom box its an RC crawler & add some weights to the tires... & despite what someone above said, do NOT run ur tires without foams thats like trying to drive with zero air in ur tires in a 1:1

Yup, everything is sitting up high You really want a stereo ? Put an iPod in your pocket and some headphones... Then slam your crawler to lower your COG...weight your tires Let us know how that works |

The speaker really doesn't weight much I think it's about half the weight of a iPhone and I'm starting to add weight to the tires but I don't know how much to add. Can somebody give me a ball park idea.

I have 2 set ups for it. I will try to put pics of the other setup on later. It runs no lift a 55t weighted 2.2 mashers and a different body. So if i want to crawl i put like that but the trail truck set up flips. Im gonna try to weight the tires and see how it does.
