Default which thread locker to use?

I have some red thread locker but it seems to get my stuff to tight and I strip it. Tired of drilling those things out

You also do not need to SOAK the screw. Light application works best. Never use Red unless you absolutely will not want to remove it. (Besides drilling it out).

Yeah.. the OP said he used Red and was wondering what other people were using... So we said " Blue "...

Use Red all you want.. Everyone has an opinion.. but it seems your method may not be working that well for you.. since you said...

JDMGUY70 Wrote: "man i need these for my stripped hub and chub screws but i have no way of drilling and taping a hole" (In another post)

We are all here to help each other out. The OP just wanted some advice.

Using lots of any Thread Locker is a bad idea. That is from over a decade running Nitro... and screws just seem to FALL out of those machines if you dont use a bit of Blue thread locker. Never had an issue with Blue and depending on where the screw was, a small amount of Silicone sealant over them if they were getting a bit stripped / loose. The silicone is easily peeled off, then the screw can be removed.

Agree with the general concensus of using blue threadlock . A little dab on the end of on side of the screw is all that is needed . This advice from 25 years as automotive tech .

I use blue Locktite quickstik 248. A lot cleaner and easier than using liquid threadlock.
