Default what happens if you dont loctite the diff outdrives.....

THis is what happens.....
notice the halo around the bearing...

Here is the "Clean side"

Not to mention, all that material mixed with the grease and made a nice paste - not the best lubrication in the world for your transmission!

I acquired this on used....I have decided I'm going to tear the axles down too and find out what this "wahoo" was thinking during his build

Haha, who needs a milling machine when you have a few loose screws. That's some precision machining

I thought the "movement" sounded funny on this RC but I didnt thing the outdrives where loose like this. Everything worked fine, the housing was keeping the screws for backing all the way out and holding everything in place....baarely!

I am NOW a firm believer of tearing used cars apart before I use them. Luckly, nothing was damaged except the ring there in the case. Everything cleaned up nice, no damage to the output drive gear - that part was amazing to me.

Awesome. I'm a firm believer of breaking shit as often as possible. Driving is only half the fun! Now you've got a great excuse to pick up the Robinson Racing one-piece gears.
