Default KillerBlackbirds Honcho

I'll finally make a thread for my Honcho.

I bought it off a member here (DocFire) and put a little work into it. When I got it the paint on the cab was flaking off really bad. After I tried to remove some of it, I ended up buying a new body set and a DinkyRC bedside kit. I stripped everything down, cleaned and re-lubed it all, replaced hardware with stainless and moved the electronics box position. I am running the stock Wraith shocks in it right now, I may go back to the stock SCX10 shocks after I see how it works on the rocks. Once the motor in it goes I'll replace it with a Holmes Hobbies Torque Master Pro 35T.

The truck started out as a kit version Honcho. Overall DocFire did a good job setting it up, it crawls great, perfect tire foam set up whatever is in the tires. I actually enjoy using the Honcho over the Wraith since the Wraith seems to not have much of an issue with any terrain haha.

That's a nice looking Honcho. I love the tire/wheel combo. I ran the tsl-sx really hard on my Honcho for about a year or two and they never let me down.

Thanks! The ProLine TSLs work great and they're not super wide and tall like other tires. They seem to grip well.

Small update;

Since I run the 110mm King shocks on my Wraith and I absolutely love them, I went with 100mm Kings for the Honcho. I live how soft the springs are and the slightly taller 100mm length give it some extra flex.

I also bought a set of RC4WD Pro10 1.9 wheels and PitBull Rock Beasts. The tires are a job in itself to get on the wheels.

Ill have to get some better outside pics when I try out the tires.
