I got this scx roller in a trade and i like it but gonna make it my own, i already put 1.9 boggers, ppp servo, ae-2 esc and a 35t novak rockstar motor Nothing special just a project to keep me busy Plans: *Tear down and repaint the frame rails *diy frame mounted servo *diy stainless steel links *72' short bed body (candy blue) *diy steel bumbers |

Off to a good start early this morning, went ahead and did the tear down. Now off to clean the plastic parts and get paint for the frame |

Got the frame rails painted, went with vht cast iron. Now i'm bout to start going back together with it |

Went ahead and mounted the battery tray, this sucks cause i gotta wait til the body comes in next week for any more progress |

Best bet then is to build a mount that sets behind the shock towers and in front of the trans, sideways in there, works great and keeps the cog way down. Just a suggestion.

Point to ponder Since you got it in a trade, its hard to tell what the other person did during the build process - I found out the hard way that you cant trust people to use loctite where they are suppose to. When I opened the transmission, all 3 output shaft screws where completely backed out and wearing on the case...prime example of "when ALL ELSE FAILS, read the instructions"!! |

Well i said i was done til the body came in......well i went ahead and mounted the skids, electronics box, new oil in shocks and mounted them too.... |

Body and paint came in, went ahead and cut the tube for my links then drilled & threaded the revo link ends, might cut the all-thread and finish them up later, ordered some anodized blue hollow balls last week hopefully they come in tomorrow so i can get it sitting on all 4 |

Hollow balls did come in so i got it sitting on all 4 & the body mounted, need to make my lower front links a little longer but i'll get that wrapped up and body painted tomorrow |

All thats left is the steering links & gonna order some proline bumpers cause these are to wide for the body, and i guess someone in shipping at **** don't know the difference in candy blue ans flurecent blue.......oh well |

are you running the front 4-link with a CMS? i noticed that issue had been brought up a few times in the past day or two. The build looks great BTW!!!

Thats sweet, what and how did you make your CMS? I was too lazy to build the links and I broke down and bought the Axial ones :/
