Default how to : Dingo/Honcho into Silverado

Been asked a few times what is needed to make the SCX10 into a silverado. well theres a few things youll need to look into before you just buy a silverado body. theres 3 different proline silverado bodys.

Stampede body - Pro-Line Chevy Silverado 2500 HD 3357 for 1:10 Truck

this body has a very short wheelbase. its only a 10 inch wheelbase

Savage body - Pro-Line 2007 Chevy Silverado Body 3229 for Monster Truck

this body is good for the dingo. its wheelbase is 11.4 inches.

E-Revo/T-Maxx body - Pro-Line 2007 Chevy Silverado Body 3230 for Monster Truck

this body has a 13 inch wheelbase. so if you have a honcho this is the body youll want to look into. BUT you will have to extend the wheelbase to 13 Inches.

so if you get this body to throw on your honcho youll need to make longer links for the rear and extend the rear driveshaft and move the shockmounts and x-cross member to the rear of the frame. now there could be other ways to do this but this is how i did.

extended driveshaft

the crossmember and shock mounts moved to the rear of the frame

and you get the wheelbase to fit the body

so hope this helps anyone looking to get a silverado body for there SCX10.

Excellent work

I have some questions.
Did you extend only rear?
For mine I added 10 mm to front and rear links. I am running 100-150 mm RC4WD punisher shafts and there is no need to extend them.

Thanks for side pic, was going to request it.
Proline Silverado body have small fenders. Do you have rubbing when wheel goes up?
For now my rig is on TSL Super Swampers / Axial Ripsaw. They both have 4.3” OD and fit in fenders. I want bigger 1.9 tires and wonder if I will get rubbing issue.
