I'm headed out to see Shon (R2J) now. He's doing some work on Liam for me. I'll see if I can't snag some pictures while I'm there. He's building a custom rear bumper, sliders, link mounts, and a CMS plate for me. His work is so awesome! I can't wait to see how it's coming along. Also, I've cut the roof so that it's a 4-door 'truck'. I'll be taking the doors off too. Lots of body work going into this build... LOTS!!! |

If you must know... YES, I will be getting rid of the cheap-o mud paint job. Also, when Michelle (Krawler Kustoms) ships out my Power Tank, she'll be shipping out a 'JK' kit for Liam. I'll file down and replace the door handles, hood hinge, etc. I'm as excited as anyone to see the rear bumper that Shon is fabbing up for Liam. He got a little behind due to illness, so I wasn't able to see anything today. If my sliders look half as good as his, I'll be a happy camper! The spare mount on the bumper will be offset to the right, just like the old school jeeps. Oh... I almost forgot, I've got the scale RC4WD winch sitting on the shelf, just begging to be installed! LOL |

Here's a few I took after I first mounted the body and extended the wheel base. I Relocated the rear shock tower further back. You can see here that I still had some trimming to do before the bumper grill would be flush with the bumper. It is flush now. (Check the earlier posted pictures from my phone) |

Yeah. This is going to be a fun build. I think the most difficult part will be in removing the doors and fabricating door jams. I still have a TON of work to do on the body. Even if I left it as its configured, it needs a lot of reinforcement to keep it from cracking. I'll do all of that with ABS cement.

Not yet. Liam is still over at Shon's shop getting some metal work done. He should be done soon though. I'm going to have some slightly used RC4WD sliders and a brand new (Version 2) RC4WD Swing out tire carrier bumper for sale when I get it back. |

MTHead Derlin Beadlock Rings came in today. They are way cooler than I thought they'd be, and I expected them to be cool... The good news, MTHead now has Motoworx Racing Patterns! The other 2.2's are for Fiona and Simon. |

Liam is back from Shon's shop. We fabricated and installed the sliders and the rear 4-link mount. We also finished the bumper to the point that you see it now. I just need to drill some holes to mount it to the frame and to mount the tire to the bumper then paint it and it will be done. I mounted all of the MTHead beadlock riings as well. Lots of body work to do yet... But he's coming along well. |
