| Dingo and 2.2's
I just orderd a Dingo kit, lift kit, and stock wraith wheels and tires I was wanting to know if the wraith wheels and tires will fit with no mods or if I need to get some wheel wideners if so what size of wideners

It's just an opinion and personal preference, but I like to proportion the track width with tire size to try and avoid the monster truck look and keep it in line with crawlers, which will be hard to do with the short wheelbase of the Dingo, lifted on 5.5" tires. If I were to go with that combo I'd comp-cut the Dingo body, exxtend the wheelbase 1-1.5" and possibly put Wraith axles under it while keeping it as low as possible. Really, it would just end up looking more like a Wraith with a Dingo body on it. As far as a bare minimum of what it takes to clear the tires, it will be a combination of lifting, trimming, and limiting your shocks. You can do some give and take though. For example, if you really want full shock travel then you need to either lift or trim more, if you don't like trimming then you need to either lift or limit travel more, and if you don't like lifting then you need to trim and limit shocks more. You don't need wideners, but IMO it would definitely look better with some. |

I'm less of a "scaler", so I love the performance of the Axial 2.2's. It's amazing what my Honcho can get up and over opposed to the 1.9". At a minimum you will need to trim the body and run wheel wideners. I'm running the Junfac ones from RPP and they are 17mm each. This really helps with any steering rub. You'll need to consider moving the bumper. I raised mine up because I didn't want to cut it. Most guys buy or make a lift kit but I didn't. I figure, why raise the cog if its unnecessarily. some pics... |

The junfac's tend to loosen so I used a tiny bit of red thread locker on them, no more loosening

Your postal people must be far more efficient than mine. I'm 15 minutes from Vanquish and it takes two days.

I bought some 20mm wideners but I didn't like the way they and the wraith tires and wheels handle on the short wheelbase so I will probably sell them and the wheels and tires
