Default Wraith axles for my Honcho or buy a Wraith?

I'm conflicted, love my Honcho. Ive widened it to 10", put a wraith moter in it, and gone to 2.2's. almost like a mini wraith. My plans for it could be a new 2 speed transmission, wraith axles and lengthening the rear by an inch.

My question is: should I just buy a wraith instead? To build the wroncho would cost about $4-500 more and i can get a used Wraith with upgrades for $5-600. I like the idea of the wroncho and Wraiths seem like money holes

Do you like bodies or the Wraith's tube style chassis?

I think you could mount AR60's on your SCX10 for a lot less than $400.

I like both equally, I'm less scaler though.

What are ar60's- I'm newer to the game

Axial Racing - Axial Wraith 1/10th Scale Electric 4WD - Kit

Read on down a bit... ar60's are the axles on the wraith. And like johnnyh66 mentioned, the axles can be had for far under 400...

I have both and love em! Tha wraith is more my style but they both do work! Either way if done correctly u will not be disappointed... Hell like he said , unless ya want decked out axles u could hook tha honcho up for 100 buks give or take. I know one thing, if someone made upper links for tha honcho i dam sure woulda bought them. Good luck!

I was going for stock axles and upgraded ends/steering and 2speed trans. That would require a new 3 channel Tx..... You can see where this is all headed, lol

Thanks guys, I'm leaning towards the axles and Wroncho route, I can always add the 2 speed trans later. Plus I love making an fabing stuff myself. It's hard as an adult not to blow all your extra $ on rc projects....

A stock gt3b/c isn't much more cash, it works as a simple 2pos 3rd channel.

check out Hera's build thread link in my sig.
She's a SCX10 chassis with tube work on Wraith axles and a 2 speed.
