Default FATBOY's-"SPARE PARTS"........a Trail Rig for my Wife

ok, well i've been acquiring some parts lately and finally got enuff stuff to build an axial "kit" Jk. building this for my wife to have a rig to trail on the few occassions that she goes with me.

like stated before, i have acquired most everything i needed. then, i traded some more for a basically new honcho kit w/electrics.

her's a few pics of it the day it arrived.

also had a hand brothers CMS already installed as well

along with a new 35t integy motor and a wpBRXL

now while this chassis was in near perfect condition, i decided swap out the axles with a set that i already had. and this rig may end up a lil on the "beefy" side, especially for a rig that will prolly see more trail riding than rock crawling, i wanted to build a rig that for the most part, would provide hours of worry free (hopefully no broken parts) trailing.

so i installed the axles and links from my last personal buggy project. these axles have been shaved for a more scale look, both axles have beeftubes installed, and the front has aluminum C's & Knuck's along with axial uni's w/gunnar pins. maybe she want break 'em.

i also decided to run my 1.9 slammers with my custom cut-n-shut Rok Lox.

thnks Jose, let's hope so, lol.

well, i decided to put the trans/motor that was in this chassis back in it, along with the WB8 shafts.

i also dug up some RC4WD 90mm scale shocks that i'd forgot i had, applied some stickers to them and mounted them up.

then i installed the Jk bumpers, as well as bolting up a 3Racing winch i had.

i also found a set of G-Made hub nuts that i'd bought awhile back to use on another rig. these are a cheap way to get the look of running "SOLID" style drive flanges.

now, for a lil something that I don't believe anyone has attempted with this particular body. FOUR, yes 4, different TOP OPTION's!!!!

of course, the first 3 have been done already.

1st.......completely topless, no windshield

2nd......topless with windshield

3rd........full top

and 4th...........half top, just like the 1:1's

Great...people are even building up their wife's rigs more than mine... I love this forum, but this thread makes my lil orange Jeep feel inadequate.
