Frame, bumpers and boat sides are out for powder coating so here are some shots of the drivetrain. Painted the transfer case black. Much happier with the way it looks. Everything is getting Stainless bolts put in it. Gonna make this crawler water proof.

The front upper link mount was restricting the passenger side flex so i came up with what you see.

Those bumpstops are sweet, they look functional, how do they perform?

they definitely limit the flex a little but ill take that sacrifice. They are fully functional though. I just did a lite run with it before sending everything out to coating so ill keep you posted.

I originally tried to make smaller shocks for the rear but didn't think about how limited the flex would be so i bought new shocks. One night i was out tinkering and looking at the pics of what i kind of wanted it to look like and got the idea.

I thought you would leave the body armor metal color like the 1:1 reference or is just masked off in the pictures? are you going to replace the plastic cage with a metal one?

the plan was to keep the body armor raw steel but then i saw the picture below and went that route. As soon as i scratch it all up i might strip the paint and go back to raw steel and never have to worry about it again. When i look back at the pictures of it black with the raw steel part of me wishes i would have left it.

i was planning a cage but am rethinking it because of the weight of the body right now.

How did you attach the tube fenders to the body?

hope this helps. I mounted it in the three spots shown. works great. The mounts under the windshield location are angled on purpose to keep the fenders from coming out of alignment.
