Default Jeep YJ #3

This will be my 3rd YJ build. I've loved this every since my uncle bought one and I was the first to go along for a ride. I'll try to keep this build up to date and a bit more informative.

Parts list:
All metal tranny minus case
GCM t-case, servo mount, tranny mount
Yota axles
Axial chassis
Interior byAirship on scale4x4

I'm waiting on some parts so I can finish the leaf springs and then I'll move on to interior and electronics.

Lol they held up ok in my TF2 running a 13.5 turn on 2s. Once I have placement figured out ill add shocks to help carry the load. The yota axles already have the xvds to help there durability.

I forgot I even started a thread… Finally had some free time and got it to a roller.

Next is figuring out electronic placement & deciding how much tube work I want.

Thanks for the comments! I'm going to try and pick up progress but work is busy and I just took on a remodel project of my own.

Tiny update from paint I sprayed last week.....

Quick pick this morning. Need to get some styrene to build a firewall and maybe a center console and hopefully soon I can send it out for tube work.

how does the exterior paints hold up? I'm pretty rough on my cars and the white scratches showing thru would bug the heck out of me.

Well on my other jeep not so well. I'm hoping this does a bit better. I didn't rush the job and each color I sprayed 5 light coats and 4 coats of clear. It's not perfect but I know it'll get scratched.

Trial and error. I used the smaller Tamiya leaf springs and used RC4WD leaf mounts. Yea it's sweet shame I got burned out. So it's going to a friend...
