Best for bang for your buck driveshafts

I have been having alot of bad luck with driveshafts lately, ive ran everything from punisher shafts from rc4wd to what im running now which are traxxas 4x4 slash shafts with metal yokes, im wanting a little imput on what kind of shafts you guys are running, or what you recommend, thanks!!!!

Traxxas E-maxx shafts but don't remember the part numbers
I had them on my Wraith with a Pro4 and it took a lot to break one.
There very very cheap as well

You can't go wrong with mip drive shafts! There dang near impossible to break!

I second the MIP's. set it and forget it!

Think of buying MIP as a very long term bang for the buck. They have a large selection of driveshaft parts. Example, buying just the spline to lengthen or shorten your shaft assembly. They have a good technical website too with specs for everything.

I run mip in the wraith and scx10 I also run them in my high speed rustler.

MIP in my both my rigs,bulletproof driveshaft,you cant go wrong with MIP

Mips are at the top of the list, 2nd would be maxx although they're a bit big for a decent size spur to clear, unless you go with an extended trans output. Wb8's aren't half bad for plastic shafts and mild motors/voltage.

Occasionally TCS Crawlers has the ax10 mips on blowout, same set as scx10. Check the xref-axial.pdf on mip's site for cross compatibility.

Get some MIPs, they will be the last set you buy. C**C seems to have the best regular price on them, whether you order from them is up to you. To make them even stronger look in Vendor section for upgraded pins.

I need to know what happened to your punisher shafts?? I have had mine over a year without a hitch. Running a tekin 35t, 15 tooth pinion on 2s lipo

I use the wb8 axial shafts modified. I run a 2 females with the male in the middle and I put a aluminum rod ca glued into the the male shaft. Been running these in all my rigs for over a year and only had one break and that was kinda my fault. I would rather these break and have to spend 5 minutes to fix them than have to strip the tranny or break an axle or something else. I made them stronger but still want them to be my weak point so if something gives it is hopefully them.

Having trouble with shafts too. Traxxas E-maxx are good but requaire longer transmission end output. I have it on 1 side and it is doing fine. Wanted to install them on both ends. Estimated budget and decided to go with 2 chinese steel shafts for $29 instead. Will update when I get those.

MIP's are really reliable. I use them in every vehicle that I have that they are available for. I have never broken anything on them, but have lost screws before. The important point to be aware of with MIP's is that you should always check the screws before every outing. They can handle alot of abuse!

I run MIP's. just remember that scx10 outputs have changed on new models to the pin setup from the grub screw. I run wraith MIP shafts in my JK. I had to clock my axle back to get better alignment. I had them, so they went in. Outlasted the wraith, lol.

Did you go with these for a scale look?
I understand saving 13$... not sure I would chance it over MIPS tho..

They are hands down the best! From my creeper, scx, ax, mrc, an soon to be purchased for my wraith. I haven't had one fail or fall apart yet..
I would rather a plastic spur fail then any other part in my drive line. Its the cheapest and easiest to replace if there is failure. IMO...

Don't like MIP yokes and need longer shafts. As I said before will post my impression when I get them, in about 2 weeks.

I am replacing drive shafts because both RC4WD nylon punishers broke in no time((
Was going to use E-maxx shafts. They need longer transmission end output on spur side, which is $27.
But I liked traxxas e-maxx shafts. Light, thick and cheap.
