| Dingo gets a new home and new life. A.K.A. project old school Ok everyone a friend of mine offerd me his dingo kit completed. His motor locked up after a few days of runtime and it killed the esc in the prosess. I got a new lrp esc hitec 525 servo a turnigy 2.4g gtx3 transmitter/receiver and a black ops 5000mah battery. Current Setup Body-Pro Line 1956 F 100 Axles-Stock Ring/Pinion-Stock-38t/13t Pinion/Spur-11t/93t Drive Shafts- Mip Transmission-Vanquish Aluminum Transmission Housing Transmission Gears- Robinson Racing Hardened Steel Idler Gear,Robinson Racing Hardened Steel 1 Piece lower Outdrive Tires- Pro-Line Interco TSL SX Super Swamper 1.9 Height: 4.75" (121mm) Width: 1.75" (44mm) Wheels-Axial 8 Hole BL Motor-Trinity Mystery Stock Pro 27 turn Esc-Team Novak Rooster Crawler p/n #1841 Servo-Hitec HS646WP Batteries-2S/7.4 LiPo 5000mAh Shocks-Stock With 30WT Oil with 1/2 Bumpstops Front Springs-Super Soft Main/Super Soft Secondary Rear Springs-Super Soft Main/Super Soft Secondary Front Suspension-4-Link Rear Suspension-4-Link Last night I added a front and rear 4 link and I relocated the servo to driver frame rail. The front 4 link bars were made from extras parts I had left over from a different kit. The rear upper link is a plastic link untill I can get more 6mm tube. I made every thing with axial parts and some know how. Tools needed were a tubing cutter a 3mmx.50 tap ans a small vice. I cut the upper link on the last m closest to the end of the link to get the length I wanted and just retaped the hole and this is what I ended up with. | Re: Dingo gets a new home and new life. A.K.A. project old school I need to fabricate a longer steering draglink to go from the passenger side hub to the servo. I plan on fabricating the rear upper links and also changing the shocks and drive shafts. Last edited by greengoblin; 06-16-2013 at 09:07 PM. |

| Re: Dingo gets a new home and new life. A.K.A. project old school I started the fabrication on my battery tray last night this is where im at this point. Im also going to add a esc mout to this so the esc will be up front. The mounts still need to be drilled so the tray will bolt to the mounts. I also need to mout the plates to the frame and shoot them with some paint to. More photos to come. Last edited by greengoblin; 06-16-2013 at 09:08 PM. |

All the mods look great so far! Are you planning on a panhard bar to combat bump-steer? |

| re: Dingo gets a new home and new life. A.K.A. project old school I pulled the front and rear axle apart and found no grease. I’m glad I found this now and not at a latter time. The truck may have had 8 to 10hr if that so every thing is good to go now. |

| re: Dingo gets a new home and new life. A.K.A. project old school The receiver box is on the frame now. I also took two 18in servo extension cable cut them down to about 3in. I needed one for my fan and one for the steering servo. |

| re: Dingo gets a new home and new life. A.K.A. project old school Well I have run in to a snag in my build and here it is. The battery tray will not work with the body I got for this build. We looked every thing over at the shop before I ever started. I did not think about the 6in long battery. The last photo is with the body pushed down over the tray. I like this body a lot but after a day the battery tray will have scratched the paint up and look like trash. The battery I have has the leads coming out the case on the side. Ok so this is my fix not to happy about the make of the new body but it fits and looks good. I had my hart set on the 1950 chevy but the Pro Line 1956 F 100 was my 2nd choice. So I will now just call this build project old school. This project is not finished there are still more tricks up my sleeve. I would like to give special thanks to my good friend for the hard work he put in on teas two bodies for me. Rcpilotjr thanks bro. Body #2 The frst trail run |

I really like the Ford body, I've been wondering how that one would look on an SCX10. It looks more scaled than the smallish Chevy body.
