Awesome! I just picked up my honcho too! Been very busy with mine lately. Mostly just getting acquainted and scaling around some rocks and shrubs.

I have:

2ea 2s 2800mAh 25c (softy)
1ea 2s 6000mAh 50c (Gforce)(hard cased)
1ea 2s 5500mAh 60c (Reedy) (hard cased)

If you guys want big capacity batteries for cheap, check out Value Hobby. My Gforce battery only costed me $33. I came from driving a Losi TEN-SCTE on a track and it was quick! Going from 40mph down to 5mph was a big change!

Looking good! I am gonna go the Tekin FX-R route with one of their brushed motors myself. I am going to wait until the stock motor dies.

Looks good, you know you're missing the spacers inbetween the motor plate and trans right?

Thank you for the tip! It did send me searching as to what spacers but I see that when I mirrored the tranny the spacers don't fit however there is some dremel cutting that will need to be done. Good catch!

Not sure if this video helps but djmedic is awesome with his videos and does a lot of "submerging" and playing in the mud. Just in case you want some other tips!

Help a noob out here, where did you get the connectors for your battery? Mine are straight up and I had to raise the body on mine. If I had some that came off at a 90 like yours I could lower it back down again.

I believe those are just basic 4.5mm bullet connectors but he soldered them at 90 degrees instead of straight on.

Jetblast is correct. I purchased them through my local hobby shop or LHS. All that would be required for you to get the desired angle is a soldering iron and some solder. Again your LHS could help out on that. Good luck!

LOL! that was exactly what I was thinking when I saw the first post about the missing hardware. But indeed they are missing. As for any advantages I can think of a couple off the bat.

-Torque twist on the front end is eliminated. (good for extreme grades)
-Motor is moved from the mid rear to mid fwd. (more weight up front)

I'm sure there maybe some other thoughts as well... But since doing this mod I have noticed that the truck does handle a lot better I would highly recommend this 10 min mod!
