Question RC4WD V8 in a SCX10???

Ok, I did try to search for this before asking but here it goes:
I am considering getting one of the SCX10 JK kits and would like to know if anyone has put one of these guys in any scx10 so far. If so can you post a link to your build?

Thanks in advance,

RC4WD V8

That is pretty wild! I dont think you will find anyone who would have done that mod. You should definitely be the first to pull it off. In the world of RC's, anything is possible!

I am sure it would fit. If it is not a direct bolt on, then I am sure a couple of quick mods will make it fit just fine. My friend Fletch24 made these custom plates with velcro so he doesnt have to keep using pins to hold his shell on. It is pretty genius and works great!

Thanks for the input. I think I will put it on the back burner for a while though. While looking into this one and adding up the price of the build I was reminding that I have a few other projects to work on.

Here is one of mine. Rc4wd frame. The frame is similar in width. Had set the motor in an axial frame before. Just never used in a completed build.Yes the fracture is in there.

In the Willys

And in a yota.

My personal opinion is that they are just too big for 1/10th scale.

truckbob's 1/6th Jeep is the only place I've seen the Fracture look somewhat at home...

Thanks for the input Mike, I haven't thought of how big it might look in the body. I was just taking for granted it would look like a big block.

Truckbob: since you have ran this thing in a couple of setups, did you have any issues with heat build up? I doesn't seem to allow for any airflow. Does it being aluminum really act as that good of a heat sink (sp?)?

No Not really. The Fracture v8 is tough. I ran a brushless that seem to not like the air flow. But the standard 540 seems to do just fine.
