Default Mounting bulldog winch on rc4wd jk rampage bumper

Anyone have any tips for mounting the bulldog winch on the rc4wd jk rampage bumper? Theres four holes but seems like you can only bolt the 2 back ones. If you were able to mount it, which screws and nuts did you use?

Thanks

Did you use nuts on the rear only then? I guess I just gotta find screws with the same thread. The ones I bought are the wrong threading i just wanna install it!

This bumper correct?

The threads in the bumper are m3 but the plate for bulldog winch needs to be threaded to m3 because they are 2mm holes. A buttonhead m3 x 4 or 5mm will do just fine on all 4 corners. no need to put lock nuts on them if you got all four.

I did have to take a 2mm allen wrench and file the short side down to get to all the screws in a decent manner. Not stripping them to be exact

Yeah that same bumper. Thanks for the info on the screws I need, I bought m2.5 so hopefully my LHS has them dont wanna wait until next week =P

Edit: p.s., the rubicon looks sweet, love the color. Are your front tires backwards or do you run the treads backwards? Those are the stock tires wheels and foams?

Yepp stock wheel-tire-foam with all this added weight up front the tires get a bit squashy now, good for crawling and climbing bad for turning radius. I do run a 10 ounce battery behind the front shock tower though

Thanks the paint is tamiya ts-46. I have been experimenting with them turned around, so far with them turned on the front I notice better grab on the rocks.

Are you sure they are m3? I had bought m2.5 and they seemed too large, seems like the holes would be m2?? Or is mine just different?

Im dumb. They are M2.5, I had to screw through the black coating material which got into the hole. I thought I was rethreading it with how hard I had to screw it in but after clearing the stuff out it went in and out easily. Just so others know, M2.5 screws work

M3 screws went right in on mine, I ran a M3 threader through them and got the black paint out first though.

Good to see your back on pace have fun with it.
