Default steering servo help $50 budget any ideas

My steering servo is heading south and I would like to replace it, I would like to spend $50 or less . I run 1.9 wheel and tires with not much weight. My friend tried one from ckrc the 208oz one for $20 and it broke rather fast but he runs 2.2 with a lot of weight. Was wondering if it would be ok on my setup. Or are there any other servos out there that would work. Even thought about a traxxas water proof one put the plastic gears make me nervous. Any input would be helpful

Solar Servo D772 High Voltage 0.17sec@7.4v 64g Digital Metal Gear I run this on my 10.5 pound rig with 2.2s. It's wired directly to my 7.4v lipo. Freekin rocks for the price, it hangs with my hitec 7955tg all day long. Them hitec is a little quicker and more consistent but the prices don't even compare

I run the solar servo in my GRide a 1.9 wraith and a 2.2 wraith. Its rated a 417oz. To me it works fine in the mud / in a bind on the rocks. For the price works for me.

Just checked and it's less than $18!!! So whats the deal? Why so inexpensive? Is it cheapy stuff? Will it last? Im not convinced buying from them. Will a big name brand like a hitec 7950 be just reliable peace of mind? Their video seems persuasive enough but why wouldnt it be?

I'm running four of the one that your friend has. Wraith, 2xSCX10, and a CR01. The Wraith and CR01 servos are over a year old and no problems. I'm running BRXL's in two of them and the stock AE-2 in the SCX10's with 2s lipos in all.

I just watched the first few seconds of the video before I lost interest, but in the beginning he says the servo is a 771. So the video isn't even for this servo.

The best $50 servo is a used hitec.

Hitec 5645MG This servo is right at $50 and I have been using one for over 2 years without any problems. Plenty of torque for all scaler situations.

i have run many Solor servos with zero issues. For less than $20 a servo and holds up well is hard to beat. Great servo for the money IMO

Has anyone waterproofed one before? Do they seal up well to withstand being submerged? How 'bout used one as a servo winch? Anyone?
Oh and if someone could post some pics of the metal "guts" of these servos tha would be much appreciated!
