My next Honcho Well I sold my first honcho to buy a 4x4 slash. But now I have traded some parts for another honcho roller when we got it the rear axle was messed up and missing a few parts but here is what she looks like now. I still need to do some painting. It is now a Chevy Silverado that has been bobtailed. So what do u guys think of her so far? http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0d56c018.jpg And this is the work I have done to her and lonely creeper is the mechanic is the one who got it to a complete roller for me http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...ps93bc5913.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...psbe688332.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4711ff14.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...ps29343bd5.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...psbf3bba35.jpg I have now striped her and gave her some fresh skin... http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...psbef95c4c.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...ps61224ef7.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...pse62b592d.jpg well got more to do but what do ya think... Is she worthy |
Re: My next Honcho Nice job, I'd extend the rear end a bit. Too stubby for my taste |
Re: My next Honcho ummm... the chain hanging off the front looks silly IMO it's possible I don't get the imagery this is attempting to be portray if it just has to be on there... at least find some scale sized chain W properly sized links. that stuff looks like dog run chain. I would never use chain on my 1:1... when it breaks... it can cause serious carnage or death |
Re: My next Honcho WOW! dog run chain huh? I thought it looked like over sized logging chain, but that's cool. Like I said this is just the beginning and using what I have at the moment:) And the shortness on the rear is y they call it bob tailed:) |
Re: My next Honcho Truck looks good. What are your future plans for it. |
Re: My next Honcho Yeah! 1.9" tires streached over 2.2" wheels! |

was just my opinion regarding my personal observation Thing is... if you post on public forum... then you shouldn't come to expect that every shared opinion will be sugar coated in your favor or in agreement. does my opinion matter !? not really it's all in what you like and want on yer junk... as long as yer happy with it... it's all that matters. cheers |
Re: My next Honcho I do like the body and the flares! |
Re: My next Honcho Well got some flex shots today and did some further work to her added the stock rear cage had to modify it a bit such as shorten the cage and diamond plate. also got the spare tire mounted correctly threw some tools and stuff on the back. I still need to add the lights and interior, So with out further audo here she is... http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...ps32699853.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...ps16b34d82.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...psf1515148.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...ps121d2034.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...psae61f373.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0b2ac370.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...ps85c54cea.jpg |
Re: My next Honcho Did you decide to remove the mud flaps or are your photo's out of sequence, I liked them. |
Re: My next Honcho nope mud flaps are still there:) Its just the last side shot all u see is the plastic bar they are mounted to:) Oh and I also pushed the front axle out a bit went from 91mm to 94mm bottom links and just used a longer screw and a spacer on the y-link |
Re: My next Honcho What is yoir wheelbase now? |
Re: My next Honcho 12 1/2 inches from lug to lug and ride height is like 2 or 2 1/4 inches high, moved the front bumper up higher |
Re: My next Honcho Made a new steering link, 8/32 allthread, jato rod ends The knuckles hit the housing, still have a 1/4" before the link hits. http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/...psae31f3c0.jpg |
Re: My next Honcho Got my new Pro-line bumpers today don't think iam going to use the rear one even though its a nice bumper just to wide for my set-up. http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...ps965351f9.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...ps688ecb8c.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...psbe39ef15.jpg Think I might trim a 45 degree piece off of the bottom corners to stop the little bit of tire rub, other than that she fits rather nicely http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4bb3d8b1.jpg |
Re: My next Honcho Looking good. Someone else here is using that bumper or did. His winch roller came off, caution. |
Re: My next Honcho needs some black NUTs on the back |
Re: My next Honcho Quote:
nuts on the back of the winch roller? And thanks guys:ror: |
Re: My next Honcho Well I decided to install the rear bumper, I think it will work just fine and doesn't look to bad with my set-up http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...psa7e1a3b6.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...ps15c87cfe.jpg |
Re: My next Honcho That front bumper looks great. The back not so much. Imo. |
