| Tncrawler's spare parts budget f250 build
Well I havent made a thread in a while and I figured ...... why not. I'm going to spend 35 a week. Upgrading and posting as I go. So far I had a hodge podge of links so I threw those on. And it basically all stock with mip shafts and alum links as of now. But on to week one...... It started life without a body so that was the first thing to address.....enter the 250 cab for a honcho bed Now for paint....let me start by saying this was SUPPOSE to be cobalt blue....well it's not..but none the less it turned out ok. It changes from blue to grey to purple....super cool color. So with my coupons and price match I got out of hobby town with my paint and cab for 34.73.....that blew this weeks budget...but I already sprung for some gearhead utes and treps to get the rolling stock up to par. So I'm not counting that in the budget. They should be here mid week. As u can see....its far from the cobalt/silver lariat theme I was going for, but it is still nice looking I think. Let me know what u think should be next and ur thoughts so far. Thanks. Last edited by TNCrawler; 06-24-2013 at 01:03 AM. |

Looks good to me, the color and the way you trimmed the front of the body. I'm really liking what guys are doing with this body.

I bought cobalt blue paint for a body and when I tested it the paint looked white, so I tried the other can and same thing, white paint. I called Pactra and then started looking on the web and found out that it looked white until you use backing black to get the blue. What color did you use to back the paint? The reason I am asking is because I was thinking about doing a two tone paint job, a dark blue on top and bottom and a light blue in the middle.
