Nice! Mine came in today. The paint is drying on the new body. Going to build it to look like my full sizer. I have some lights to figure out but that will wait until tomorrow morning... For now it's a tasty Crown & Coke (easy on the coke!).

Looking forward to the progress pics

Is your new set up going to be ready for the Vasquez Rocks GTG?

Did you order the RX8 or RX8 Gen2? I'm using a RS Gen2.

I think you'll be OK with either one.

The wheels are from rc4wd.com look in the 1.9 wheel section. As for the tires, there Pitbull rockbeasts. They are a sick ass tire, well worth the money.

Nope, there not the same wheel. The correct name is "Torque"

If we are discussing the above picture wheel. Then I have to respectfully disagree. The above pictured wheel is a Dick Cepek Gunmetal 7.

The following pictures are of my Wrangler running Dick Cepek Gunmetal 7 wheels (without the center hub) at the 2014 KOH:

Here's a close up.

Here's Dick Cepek's wheel line up:

Here's a close up of a "Torque" from RC4WD's web site.

Yep, wheels are the Gun Metal 7, not the Torque.

Got some more work done, inner fender liners are done, tail lights in place and I also mounted the winch with Mad Dog fairlead:

Next up is tackling the wiring for the LEDs. I bought a drift car setup, so it should be all plug and play. Then I just have to figure out how I'm going to run my servo winch line, my steering servo is right in the way... Paint on the head light buckets is drying right now.

RX8 is fine, but the RS GEN2 handles it no problem.

Thank you! I'm slowly working on it in between wrenching on the TLR offroad cars. Got another race this weekend.

They are ziploc containers cut up and painted, you have to make them.

Interesting. Thanks. By the way, maybe a year ago I was having some issues with battery run time on my 4 wheel drive short course truck that I race and I exchanged a number of messages with you. You were courteous, always returned my questions and were extremely helpful and I appreciate that.

That's what I'm here for! Yeah on the inner liners, it probably took me about 2 hours to cut them out and get the holes all in the right spots, then I just had to paint. They weren't too bad. I'm surprised no one makes a set that are molded to fit yet!

rx8 is a beast maybe I could've saved money on a gen 2 but size isn't really a issue and I'm loving it. thx for the heads up
