| New used honcho w/ courier body low cost fun machine!
Got the truck in this trade... Mountain bike traded for a pile of rc! I also got a courier body in the trade as well. I slapped the courier body on the honcho and it was a pretty good fit, the wheel wells were already trimmed for me! The truck was all stock except for the homemade stinger/bumper. I tried out a set of trepedors from my jk on it forms little while but went back to the ripsaws for now. The only things that I changed so far were the stock motor came out and an unknown motor went it! The motor that went in I got in a trade and I was told it was a brood 35t when I got the motor it was definitely not a brood so then I was told that a buddy of his used a brood arm and custom build the motor. Well brood engraves the wind on their arms and surprise surprise no engraving on this one! I figured instead of being mad that I kinda got burnt on it id just throw it in the hhoncho and see how it went. Its got some decent wheel speed, good for a beater fun truck! This is the motor BROOD...... not so much! My plan for this rig is to keep the cost down and the fun level up! I picked up overdrive gears for the front because I like to climb and the axial aluminum steering kit to stiff up the steering a bit. The gears and steering kit are sitting on my bench unopened! Future plans are pitbull rock beast II tires to go on the axial 1.9 bead locks I already have. Also need metal links prefer blue monkey but if I find a decent cheap used set I'll get whatever that will be. Remember low cost high fun!!! I will slowly be waterproofing this one to do some creek/brook runs! I already treated the ae2 with corrosionX so well see how that goes! Not sure what else I really need for this truck other than a few CHEAP scale items to dress it up a touch! Less jibber jabber more pics! Oh and this rig went on a mini vacation with us up to islesboro Maine. Have to take a ferry just to get there. Wife's grandparents have a cottage. Back to CT and the ripsaws! That's it for now, I'm sure more will follow! Any comments suggestions or gripes post away! |

Courier body was ones my all time favorites...I have 2 NIB that I am hoarding to do a replica of 1:1 courier built on a toyota frame drivetrain that was on eBay forsale sometime back.

I like your Military Jeep, that's pretty neat right there.

Got a chance to break in the new tires today,....... they are awesome!!! Never used pit bulls before so I can't compare but these are the best 1.9 I have tried so far. I managed to snap a few pics in the process. |
