Default Tamiya Hilux on SCX10

I just started building Hilux for SCX10.
Wheelbase of SCX10 (Jeep) was too long, so I shortened all the links.
But still, wheels stick out on the side too much, maybe I should have bought narrower Dingo version instead of Jeep.
Would wheels with negative offset help much?

yes the dingo has a shorter wheelbase, you may want to try to narrow the scx10 axles, guys have done this mod im pretty sure. or else replace the axles with rc4wd axles. i think the k44's are a little narrower then the scx10s.

Nice color, I did my TF2 in a very similar color and then added the silver decals.

Thanks, I'm trying to make it look old/beat-up/rusty.
I'll post more photos when it's done.

I seen where a guy bob'd the rear of the bed...
then took part of that bob'd section and spliced in forward of the rear wheel well.

it's another way to keep the honcho's wheel base.

Not exactly to scale... but an option

how did you do the rust. is the base color rust and you just sanded the blue off or was it an air brush?

Looks awesome! I'm glad you learned something from my tread. I understand about not wanting to drive it on tough terrain, I beat the hell out of mine, I'm re-doing it again, and I'm gonna be more careful with it.

I sprayed Testors Clear Dullcote, smudged brown pastel. Then, sprayed again to seal the pastel powder.
