| New steering servo
My stock servo on my scx10 is shot. I was wondering if the traxxas 2056 waterproof high-torque servo would be a good one?

I asked for advice in electronics. Had a good response. IMO the best value for $ is Savox 1230sg. But I already ordered Blue Bird BMS 28A. You can order one with free delivery from amainhobbies.com for $75. Last edited by nersik; 07-08-2013 at 06:39 PM. |

645mg is a good(inexpensive) way to go at around $30 brand new and 133oz/in torque!

The 2056 is a weak servo. Don't bother. The 2075 is better but more expensive and still plastic geared. You need to bear in mind that more powerful servo's will only work optimally when used in conjunction with a dedicated BEC. The one on the receiver is not so powerful. Just something to bear in mind. Hitec 7954sh servo specs for example. I think the internal BEC puts out less than 6v too. Torque: 6.0V: 333.0 oz-in (23.98 kg-cm) 7.4V: 403.0 oz-in (29.02 kg-cm) Speed: 6.0V: 0.15 sec/60° 7.4V: 0.12 sec/60° |

Go with a hitec 7954 or 7950 and be done with it. I first upgraded to a 5645 then a 7954. The 7954 is a night and day difference compared to a 645 or 5645 definitely get a cc bec to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
