Default 3/16 Brake line Truggy

Hi, I'm Trent. Sorry this is such a noob question but I really want to build a truggy for my scx10 with a hilux body. So brake line..is it only tubing or is their a solid line that everyone uses when welding bumpers/sliders etc..thanks guys! Love this website!

I think you are refering to a tube cage on back of your frame, yes?
3/16 brakeline is probably the most common , it is alot lighter than solid rod, but not as easyto bend imo. Solid rod you can throw in a bench vise and fold over with no kinking, but the tube you kinda hafta use a tubing bender. A combo of the two would be the best imo. Use solid rod for the really tight bends, and tubing for the majority of the tube work to keep it lighter. Solid rod can be called piano wire avalible @lhs, or also weldable rod @lowes/home depot.

If you're new to welding/brazing, I'd recommend the solid stock as a starter. There is no chance of kinking the tube or burning through it when welding. The weight could be seen as a drawback, but I've found on my FToy that the extra weight has actually helped the tires hook up in many cases. My Ftoy is running 3/16" solid stock from HD/Lowes
