Default Tonka SCX10 6x6 build

Well I decided last night I was gonna sacrifice my honcho to build a 6x6. So I called a friend got some axles and started building I wanted to do something a little different then most scale 6x6 builds. Now I know this probably isn't scale but it is different I went to toys r us and got a tonka dump truck cut it up and this is what I got so far. I've still got to build all the tube work on the bed and there is going to be a 4x5.5x4 box right behind the cab to house my winch ESC and its battery might also add some tubing to the front bumper to go up and over the cab for roll overs will post more pics later of my progress hoping to be done today

Love it so far. But I've seen a lot of 6x6 builds (as I'm planning one for the future) and I know that attached links between the two rear axles is a bad idea, it causes them to flex with each other and not be able to flex opposite ways very well.. Look through other 6x6 threads and you'll find out others linked theirs up. Just an idea... Otherwise this is sweet so far!!!

Thanks man I saw that as I was testing axle movement earlier I have to relocate the bottom links as you said thanks for that. I was also kinda scared that the tonka cab would look bad bit its starting to look OK I'm sure once the bed and tubing are done it will look pretty good

OK now that I've gotten to drive and use my new build I'm gonna be honest I love the way it looks but I do not like the truck I don't really know why I guess I'm just a 4x4 man so I'm gonna cut it back down and build a 2.2 jeep jk to go with my girlfriends Cherokee

I'm planning something like this out with a newbright fire truck on a rc4wd body with scx10 stuff inside. Its got a full working boom on it though so I'm figuring out how to incorporate that into this hypothetical build. Great work, too bad it was taken apart
