Do it. I have a 2 speed in my Dingo build using the AX2, and it's a blast. Great idea!

Can't wait to see how this works. I plan to do a two speed in my Honcho eventually.

Two speed really makes the scx10's fun ! I have the rc4wd in my truck and love it. Why not just get the tranny that's built for the truck instead of monkeying with a TH.

The TH Trans is going to be WAY lighter, that's a major consideration, and in the end, if you use it up front with a transfer case, the thing will work like a dream, the same way I have my SCX setup with the AX2 trans. It's a great option!
I'm looking forward to seeing your setup!

Works great, just dropped it in this weekend.

Had to fab an adapter plate, just used some scrap 2mm aluminum.

Tucks in there well. Had to lift my CGR body just a hair for the interior to clear. I have the older style shafts and they mated right up - just used double setscrews and some red threadlock. The Wild boars should work as well, need to either drill the outputs for the pin or just use 2 setscrews. Eventually plan to pin mine.

Great and interesting thread. I would just drill my skid to mount the TH tranny.

Put 20000 mah through since doing the conversion and working like a champ. Did have to use red loctite on the drivetrain setscrews, and havent loosened up since.

Does not fit with the jeep body for sure unless you want to hack the interior significantly. No problem with the Honcho style.

i would have gone with the AX2 trans just for the fact that the gear ratios are way different compared to the TWH ratios. Also I am running or soon will be running an AX2 trans in my TWH for that fact alone. A good friend of mine made a plate for me so if anyone else wants one it sounds like he might start selling them in the vendor section.

For a Dingo it looks like a better fit than the ax2...spent a good chunk of time on it this weekend, now going to order some parts. Four point and longer wheelbase are necessary if mounted stock on the skid plate. Beyond the fit and bind issues, rock solid tranny with smooth action.
