Default My scx10 jk build

So I got my scx10 jk the other day and I'm trying to figure out how to go about the build. So far I used axle extensions from my slash trophy truck build and made it a little wider. Ill post some pictures when I figure that out.

With them

Wheels on with extenders

Half of the extenders (I think it's the best looking)

And a side shot, so what do you guys think?

Will they really wear out that fast? Is there another way to widen my stance?

Wraith axles will widen it like an inch or so.

Wraith axles look way to wide. I wanna go scale, am I doomed to go big or go home?

I say order a set of fast eddie bearings and use what you got or get a large offset wheel like you do in 1:1. The last option is to get a set of vanquish slws and 475 offset hubs. Btw the way you located in VA?

RC Crawler Boy is right, here is what some .725 Vanquish SLW hubs look like for a wide stance..

Well it's gonna have to wait till the 15th. So I'm looking at getting the rigid 6" light bar for the front then solid links and a 4 link for the front. Any ideas on a company for links?

You could make your own or just get the 10pc set from vanquish. That way you can get steering links also. RPP BEST company out there go there, go to scx10 hop ups your mind will be blown. Get the 4link mount (what ever looks good) and links(vanquish) from them. In the upper right hand corner click coupons and use them.

Doesn't that still put a strain on the bearings. I don't know, just asking.

No because the wheel is attached where the stock hex location is. By attaching it to a hex widener like the original guy posted, you are putting the contact point/strain an additional inch out from the stock hex location

Is the 10 piece set from vanquish for the currie axles though? I have it with the currie axles, and I tried to put the links with the stock axles and they were the wrong lengths. I'll go check again but I thought they were listed as "Currie 10 piece link set"

Yeah i just checked. the 10 piece link set from vanquish is only for the Currie axles on the SCX 10

Wideners, even the VP ones, still put more strain on the bearings as you are moving the entire wheel/tire out, which puts more leverage out past the bearings. They both accomplish the same thing.
